10 Highly Dangerous US Cities

Whether you have plans to travel all over the USA or just traveling from one city to another, the first and foremost criteria which will be given importance is the level of safety in that particular city. The USA is considered to be the safest nation but there are some cities that are highly dangerous as compared to others. If you are raising your family or are living alone, the top things you will look at while finalizing the city is the freedom and safety from different dangers. These dangers could be of different types. This could be related to theft cases, murders, accidents, and so on. There are also increased rates of hate crimes that could be inflicted against a specific set of community members. In general terms, violent crimes are those potential threats that are making that city dangerous. One may enjoy crime shows or programs but this is not something that creates a thrill in actual life.

As a whole, 2020 is considered as a highly peaceful year in the context of the crime rate. According to the Preliminary Uniform Crime Report published by the FBI, violent crimes have experienced a declining trend. This has been noticed that 3 out of 4 regions contain low rates of crimes. Only a 2.5% increase in the south has been observed. The number of rape cases also reduced by 17.8% as compared to those in the year 2019. However, this is clear that crime rates are not of the same level in all cities. If statistics are taken into consideration, then smaller cities have less crimes and bigger cities are confronting more criminal issues. Here, we are going to share the 10 highly dangerous US cities as indicated by Insider Monkey in their post.

Modesto is one of the cities on the list where the rates of violent crimes are double the amount of national average. Due to the high level of criminal cases, this is a fairly dangerous city in the USA. Tulsa is also on this list which is a mid-size city of the USA with overall high criminal cases. This city is known for rapes, burglaries, and automobile thefts particularly in the Southern region of the city. The next city on the list is Greensboro which is notorious for high murder rates i.e. for every 100,000 individuals, the murder rate is 12.6%. Therefore, this city is an unarguably unsafe one.
