The North West Company also operates in other locations through its subsidiary Cost-U-Less stores.

The filings also indicated that Spectra Energy Corp. (NYSE:SE) emerged the third largest investment of St. James Investment Company with a total value of $62 million. This is a natural gas company serving the industry chain through gathering and processing, transmission and storage, and distribution. The company has reported that its Q3 profits fell by 24%. Spectra Energy Corp. (NYSE:SE) reported a Q3 profit of $201 million, compared to $263 million the previous year. Spectra Energy Corp. (NYSE:SE) operates under several subsidiaries that include Union Gas Limited, Spectra Energy Partners, LP, Westcoast Energy Inc, and several others.
