Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) Testing a Dark Non-Alcoholic Drink That Tastes Like Guinness

Yes, it’s called “Dark Barrel Latte;” it looks dark just like Guinness and tastes just like Guinness, though it’s non-alcoholic. Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) is currently testing that drink in selected cafes in Florida and Ohio.

For a long time Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) has been known for providing their customers with seasonal drinks that include iced Frappuccino and Pumpkin Spice latte for summer and fall respectively. But something changed, or something was added, so, maybe, you will be able to order a beer tasting coffee in the near future.

If you don’t take alcohol, don’t worry as the company has assured that there is no alcohol in it; not even for the taste.

According to a source in the loop, the savory toasty drink isn’t just some drink served to you with no toppings; no; it includes “a chocolaty stout enriched sauce, whipped cream and dark caramel drizzle.”

Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) debuted in 2003 and has since offered customers some of the best flavors for different seasons. They’ve sold above 200 million of those flavors since their debut, and are still going strong.

What most people have been treated to is milk shakes made using Guinness plus some other flavors. Such are widely sold in different places in the U.S. The main difference between them and Dark Barrel Latte is that they have alcohol.

Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) is testing the drink in selected locations just to give people a taste of it and to gauge whether the market will like it.

Some people who’ve had a taste of it have said that it actually tastes like the Irish stout.

The chain’s spokeswoman said that she had no information to share at that moment on whether the drink will be availed in different other places.
