The iPhone maker, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), took the digital world with a storm with its iPhone 6 and 6 Plus smartphone devices last year. The company is once again ready to woo the customers with an all-new model of MacBook Air. At the same time, the Cupertino-based company has decided to sell unlocked iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices from its stores and website.
The iPad maker is all set to offer redesigned model of MacBook Air with a 12-inch screen, bigger that 11-inch screen in previous models, and redesigned keyboard to cover maximum usable portion of the device. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is likely to release a slimmer version of MacBook Air and some keyboard alterations are likely to happen for a slimmer design. The distinct feature of this new model is the presence of a single USB Type-C port along with a headphone jack. The company is likely to ditch the Thunderbolt connection in this model.
Some designers are of the opinion that the company may introduce a docking port for MacBook Air and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is likely to use dual-core Broadwell chips from Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC). The new device could offer a lot of surprises to the Mac lovers.
Earlier, Apple announced that it would start offering unlocked iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models from its stores and website. Unlike the regular sale process where one could buy an iPhone with a carrier, these phones would offer carrier choice to the customers. One can put in any SIM card and choose plans accordingly. The company would provide same warranty on these unlocked devices. iPhone 6 would be available in the range of $649 to $849 whereas iPhone 6 Plus would cost between $749 to $949.
The shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) are trading at $106.26.
