Facebook Inc (FB) to Compete Against Google Inc (GOOG)’s Cookie-Based Adverts With Atlas Advertising Platform

It’s no surprise that Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is doing everything it can to compete against Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s advertising platform. In a string of revolutionizing its advertising efforts, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has announced a new advertising platform, Atlas, which is likely to make cookie-based advertising obsolete with its advanced user tracking matrices.

Atlas is already receiving an excellent response from marketing experts and one of the digital advertising CEOs called it “marketing nirvana”. The most powerful feature of Atlas is the availability of exact user data unlike cookie-based advertising and it will offer accurate ads to the accurate audience.

Facebook (FB)

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is calling it people-based marketing and it will offer critical information to the advertisers including device details. Further, Facebook is likely to link user information from all communication devices including mobile, desktop, and app data, which will help it track even offline sales. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is likely to include advanced data tracking feature including integration with Instagram and the company would be able to track user activities on other websites of interest too.

Not only this, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has received excellent response from advertisers and companies like Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) and PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP) who would use this platform for advertising purposes. Omnicom, media firm, is likely to use Atlas for advertising and the company said, “Facebook is different from every other media company because they actually know who you are.” Omnicom even said that the advertising platform from Facebook is likely to move the advertising world forward where advertisers would have sufficient information about the real people and their online behavior.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) acquired Atlas Advertiser Suite last year from Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and transformed it into an advanced advertising platform.
