For those who thought that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) was done this year when they released the slimmer and bigger iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, a new revelation about Apple Inc.’s new releases is here with us. The tech company is set to release the sixth generation iPad and the third edition of iPad Mini. The unveiling of a new Mac operating system, OS X Yosemite, is also expected to follow shortly thereafter.
Sources intimate to the matter have revealed that the OS X Yosemite represents a complete visual overhaul. Similar sources also stated that the new iPad will offer 9.7-inch screen while the 3rd edition iPad mini comes with a 7.9-inch screen.
However, efforts to secure a comment from Trudy Muller, a spokeswoman for Apple, bore no fruits as she declined to comment on the matter.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is also said to be working on bringing down iPad prices with the cheapest of them expected to sell below $300, marking the first time Apple Inc.’ has set an iPad price that low. Apple Inc. has said that the holiday strategy will include bringing down the entry price for iPad Mini to $299. Such statements indicate that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is heeding the growing pressure from its competitors such as Amazon.com Inc. that have priced their tablets at far much lower prices.
The unveiling of 6th generation iPad and 3rd edition iPad Mini as well as the new Mac operating system comes at a time when news has it that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is working on spicing up its product lineup and making price adjustments realize bigger sales during the fast approaching holiday season.
Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are also expected to begin selling at the stores on September 19.
